I maybe a bit old school but I love the art of letter writing. Yes emails are quick and efficient mode of communication, but to me nothing beats a hand written letter. So when Lydia at Mademoiselle Women asked me to be part of a blogger mail swap I instantly said yes!
Lydia suggested we theme the mail around candies and sweeties so off I went to find some treats to go with Lydia’s letter. You can see what I sent Lydia here.
A few days later I received Lydia’s letter and goodies in the post. Nowadays all I get in the post are bank statements, junk mail and political leaflets. So to get a proper letter in the post was something of a treat!
This idea was originated by my other blogger collaborator, Abbey Louisa Rose and you can see her post here.
Inside was a lovely letter from Lydia, along with a collection of treats and stickers Lydia picked up whilst in Brighton.
Lydia must be psychic as even at my age I do like stickers and Lydia chose these as they reminded her of Brighton. She must almost know me well as she chose some candies from one of my favourite shops, Tiger. Along with an Kool-Aid sachet.
Thank you Lydia for my goodies, such a lovely treat to get in the post 🙂 Perhaps this is a start of a letting writing relationship.
I hope this may of inspired you to put pen to paper and write a letter to a loved one. I’m sure if you did it would brighten up their day and put a smile on their face, I know it did for me.
Love and hugs,
