Well it’s been a while since I did a monthly favourites, so I thought I would revive this old gem of a topic 🙂
March for me was about saying goodbye to winter and a well over due welcome to lighter evenings and the first signs of Spring.
Additionally to this I have been loving some cosmetics from old school fav Barry M, my trusty Maybelline matte lipstick and a couple of Primark favs, their trainers and cosy sweaters!
I haven’t used Barry M cosmetics for a while. Not that I’m a make up snob just with so many brands on the market these days I can’t have them all 🙁 But I wanted to buy their eyeshadow pot (see further below) and in Superdrug it was buy one get one half price.
So after a quick swatch of these pretty shades I opted for this palette below. The shades are warm pinks and browns, hence the name of the palette Super Naturals. For the price they apply well and I really like the colour it eyes to my lids.
As mentioned above I originally planned on getting one of the eye shadow pots from Barry M. I used to use these a lot when I was in my teens and 20’s. And I what I continue to love is the shimmery-ness of the powder. I love this shade. They’ve called it Tan but I call it more pinky peach shade.
It’s super pretty.
Finally beauty wise I have been loving this month my Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipstick. This I have mentioned in a previous post, but it has been my go to lip product for March.
I love the colour (it’s shade 50) and the matte look on my lips. I prefer it to the NYX equivalent.
Fashion wise I’ve been loving these trainers from Primark. These were £12 and are the comfiest trainers I’ve ever owned! I’ve also a pair in pale pink, which I love too.
For the price they are a real bargain. They are so light weight and feel like wearing slippers. They are my day to day footwear for lazy days off.
Weekend Vibes sweater £5 from Primark. I’m sure I’m not the first or last person to purchase this bargain of a sweater. And I can see why. It’s so comfy, perfect for the weekend and I love the colour. My hair dresser said the colour suited me, so I’ll take that compliment!
I got it in size small and it is slightly oversized, so I like to team it with denim jeans and my Primark trainers. A chilled weekend look 🙂
Now Spring has arrived I love wearing a biker jacket. Alas I do not have any real leather jackets, but to be honest I love the faux leather ones on the high street just as much. The one I have been wearing throughout the most of March is this one I found below.
It’s from Topshop which was in the sale for £35 and it fits so well and I love the soft fur trim. I also love the buckle detail belt on the bottom. I have worn this every time I’ve been out as it is perfect for dressed down and dressed up looks.
I have massed 7 faux leather jackets now. But I think this will be my continued go to jacket for a while 🙂
Myself and hubby and one of my biker jackets (not too dissimilar to the one I brought recently above!)
This month is my birthday month and I’m looking forward to staying in Bournemouth for it. I love Bournemouth and you can see why on the link here.
I also plan a beauty giveaway in the run up to my birthday in the middle of the month so watch this space!
Love and hugs,
