With the Party season in full swing I thought I would share my beauty loves for this season.
My make up look is normally quite natural, with bronze or warm colour on my eyes and a blush rose colour on the lip.
So the Sleek eye shadow palette, The Rockstar Collection- Diamonds in the Rough, I recently purchased from Boots is the most beautiful shades with a bit of sparkle.
As you can see they are warm shades, from gold to a coppery bronze shade. The colours at either end have a creamy pearlised finish and the shades in between are shimmery with a slight matt finish.
When applied they aren’t too full on colour so great if your like me and like more subtle shades.
I also love the packaging as it is holographic. Pretty on the outside and on the inside- such a great eye palette design.
I then team this with my Maybelline Lash Sensational intense black mascara. I have used this before and have recently purchased this as I ran out.
For a high street mascara for under £10 this has to be one of the best mascara’s. It applies well, gives great coverage, length and volume.
If you haven’t tried it before, I would recommend you give it a go!
For coverage I have been using Rimmel’s Lasting Finish foundation. I tend not to need full on coverage, though this one does offer that. What I get from this is even coverage that lasts most of the day.
The shade I use is in 200 warm beige which is a warm sand colour. The consistency is quite thick but applies wells and I feel looks natural and not over cakey.
I suffer from under eye bags so a good concealer is a must. This is Soap & Glory’s Kick Ass concealer crayon. In the medium shade. It claims to blur and brighten.
It has a creamy and easy to apply formula and this shade is slightly pinky orange.
To get the best out of it I do need to apply it a couple of times, normally under the foundation then on top of it also but overall a useful concealer for those pesky black eyes!
This is the Maybelline Intense Velvet lip crayon in shade 630. I really rate this as it is easy to apply and gives a great even and pigmented coverage.
As like most lip colours the staying power doesn’t last all day, so I tend to top it up once or twice throughout the day. But for the colour and overall look when worn I don’t mind as it’s so good.
I can best describe the shade as a dark blush pink. Gives you colour that I think compliments the eye shadow palette.
I would finish this look with some light bronzing and highlighting on the cheeks and some brow colour through my brows. And that’s it, look complete.
I am certainly no make up artist as I don’t use contouring or setting sprays or anything like that. I think at my age the more classic and natural look is more appeasing. I think I was born a decade to early to appreciate all the innovative make up products that are now available.
I didn’t start wearing makeup till I was about 15 or 16, and then it was only some mascara.
Still once I find products that I love I tend to stick to them, rather than always trying new products. Maybe a New Years resolution needs to be more adventurous with make up!
Anyway thanks for reading and happy holidays!
Lot’s of love,
