If you have been following my blog you will of noticed I have been AWOL for over a week. Please except my apologies and here is a little explanation for my lack of content.
I have ever since the age of about 12 years of age suffered from anxiety and less frequently feeling down or some would say depressed. I recently went through a week or so of feeling really anxious and my anxiety reared it’s ugly head. Totally out of the blue. Normally I can see the signs but this time boom, on came a panic attack.
I can’t contribute it entirely to one particular thing, I think more of a collaboration of several smaller things building into feeling over emotional. I still don’t feel 100% but I’m taking each day as it comes to try and keep my anxiety at bay.
As a result, through tiredness and not feeling myself I felt I wasn’t in the right frame of mind for writing on my blog. But I thought I owed it to myself and most importantly to you my dear reader to bring you something.
One thing that I have enjoyed recently despite my mood has been my new make up loves. I have treated myself to some new purchases and wanted to share my loves with you.
I took a trip to my local Boots and picked up these lovelies…
So the first thing is this limited edition Sleek eye shadow palette. Sleek do some fantastic palettes and recently I’ve been loving pink eye shadow. I think it looks really pretty if done correctly. I say done correctly as you don’t want to look like you have red tired eyes!
The shades in this palette are a mixture of shimmery shades and some matt shades. What is also great about Sleek palette’s is they come with a great size mirror inside. Perfect for make up on the go!
This palette is called Goodnight Sweetheart. Such a cute name!
The purchase I have been using a lot is Rimmel’s Good to Glow cream highlighter. This is a soft golden bronze shade and I have been using it mixed in with my foundation (pictured further below).
I have got the shade 003 Soho Glow and there is also two other shades, one more white and one more pink in the collection.
They add just the right amount of shimmer and colour to my face. Love it!
This highlighter below is amazing! It just glides on to the skin and blends really well. The colour is a pale bronze and is perfect for this time of year when you want a bit of colour but don’t want to look to over done.
Also the consistency is really soft. I love using this!
This Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation is a great foundation if you want an all over coverage. If your looking for something a bit more natural lighter then there are other Rimmel foundations, but I wanted something that would have lasting power throughout the day.
This applies well and I have found it does stay put and gives me coverage well into the afternoon. I also like the slight fruity smell as well.
A great product for the price!
The Brow Satin by Mabelline has to be my go to eye brow product. I have tried I would say over 10 different eye brow products from Anastastia to Freedom and this has been the one I have loved the most.
I think my problem has been finding the right shade and the medium brown in this has been the best shade for me. I also like that is it easy to shape the brows with the pencil end and fill in using the pomade end. For me this is one of my ultimate beauty products!
Cream matt lip shades are having a moment right now and Mabelline have joined the party with their Vivid Matte Liquid. I went for this terracotta shade as it’s not one I would normally wear and i thought I’d be brave and give it a go.
The consistency is what you expect from a matt lip colour and applies smoothly onto the lip. The thing I find with matt colours is that they tend to crease as apposed to shiney colours which just wear away.
This does stay for a while but as predicted it does start to look like it needs reapplying after a while. That said what I love is the colour and that’s why I’m happy to include it in this post!
Also what I have been loving is Zoella’s Bake My Day travel size fragrance. This came in a collection of all her fragrances and I just love the ginger bread smell! I’m saving this to use later in the winter/Christmas months as I think it will be the perfect sent for the festive season!
And that my lovelies is my current beauty loves! I hope you’ve liked them and thank you for coming by and having a catch up with me 🙂
I hope to be back to my schedule of one blog post each Sunday (if you’re lucky you might get two next week!). I hope you’re well and please feel free to leave a comment below (be kind though!).
Lot’s of love,
