Fashion Favs | What I have been buying

I’m no trend setter. I’ll state that fact from the start. But I do love shopping and looking at what’s on trend at the moment. That doesn’t mean I can replicate these looks, but I pick out an item or two that catches my eye. Below is some of my favourite clothing purchases of late. When I used to work in a fashion store I was always in the latest fashions, but now I’m a little off with what’s hot and what’s not. I tend to stick to what I like, not necessarily what current trend dictates.

Anyway take a look at my current loves:

I found this bomber style jacket in Pull & Bear in Brighton. It was on a mannequin and what I loved was the patch effect on it. I’m really into this look at the mo. I also liked the fact that it is light weight. Perfect for this time of year. I normally team it with denim jeans, but it is quite versatile. This is £35.99.

This little tee is from H&M and is £12.99. I also have this in grey and it’s one of my fav tops. So I grabbed another one in white the other day. It’s comfy to wear and I like the fringe detailing. Great to wear day to evening.

Pink sweatshirt from Topshop. This jumper was originally £26 but was reduced to £15 in the sale. Bargain. I love pink and I love comfy jumpers. Paired with jeans for a casual dressed down look. It’s also very soft. Love it!

Another tassley top! This jumper is from H&M and was £7 in the sale from £19.99. Again I like the tassel design and it being white means it goes with quite a lot. I have teamed it with the denim jeans below.

Distressed denim jeans from FF at Tesco, £16. I really like this jeans as they are cropped, so ideal for this time of year. Also I love the distressed look. They are also so comfy. Perfect for day to day wear. I have been wearing them a lot! I have worn them with white Converses and also with black platform boots.

Black swing floral dress £12.99 from Pull & Bear. I was looking for a dress to wear for out for some evening drinks and I found this one in Pull & Bear. I’m a bit self conscious at the moment of my stomach, so I tend to shy away from anything too figure hugging. This one is ideal as it is loose fitting but still looks pretty. I can see myself teaming it with a denim jacket and Converses for a more casual day look.

On a recent trip to Portsmouth in Hampshire, I popped into Dorothy Perkins. Being as this is the nearest store to me, I thought I’d have a little browse. I noticed they had a few items customised with the iron on patches I oh so love. So I picked up this t-shirt for £15. I think this would be great with denim bottoms or a pair of dungarees.

I also picked up this stripey vest from Dorthy Perkins, for £7 in the sale. I like that this is longer in length as when you get to my age, cropped tops just don’t do it. Again great with denim, or leggings (do people still wear leggings, must admit not seen many people wearing them over the last year).

Another store in Portsmouth I went in was a department store called Debenhams. One of the concessions they have is called Only. I haven’t seen this brand before until discovering it in Debenhams, but they do some fun tops at really affordable prices. This tshirt above I love and for only £8!

This vest tshirt is also from Only for £8. Apologies for the photograpghy in this post, I’ve been trying out the camera on my new iphone. But if you can’t read the slogan it reads ‘too glam to give a damn’.

Lastly I was looking for a new pair of jeans, as I much as I want to I can’t live in the jeans from Tesco FF, so I got these as alternative. These are from Primark for £13 and are ‘mom’ style jeans. Not a style I have tried before, but I like the high waist (great for anyone with a tummy complex!) and the slight boyfriend fit of them. Perfect for all the tops I’ve brought!

Well I’m off to deliberate on what to wear next! Hope you enjoyed this haul and look out got my next blog post on Wednesday 29th June for my ‘What’s in my handbag’ post. Until then,

Lot’s of love,
