Thank you for visiting my Fab cake Friday page! This is where you will find my fortnightly update on a cake or bake I have made and share with you what I did to create it!
I have a sweet tooth, so I thought it would only be apt to show you what I have been up to in the kitchen. Also I am not a particularly skilled baker, so perhaps this might help me develop my cake skills. Who know’s, I could just post a sorry excuse for a cake, but whatever it maybe, it will be here!
So I have started off with something even I think I can make. And that is my fridge cake recipe. You can find the original recipe here.
I decided that the fridge cake I wanted to make for you here to be a bit more festive, or at least look a bit special. The good thing with this cake is that you can add a whole array of your favourite ingredients and decoration.
For this cake I used some edible stars, tubed frosting and edible silver glitter, which are all from Sainsburys. I made the cake as normal, but instead of setting in a 20cm square tin, I decided to use some silver cupcake holders, also from Sainsburys.
I poured the mixture into the cupcake cases and left to set in the fridge overnight. The following morning I then decorated the cakes. I didn’t have enough frosting for all the cakes, so I did half with it and the other half using the glitter spray. Both were finished with white and gold stars. Admittedly they don’t look the prettiest cakes ever made, but the proof is in the pudding!
You could decorate the cakes with more festive colours and decorations, the option is really yours!
Anyway I hope you like and I would love to know what cake’s you enjoy making!
Next fortnight I will have another treat to share for you. Be sure to come back then!
Love Abbie xoxoxoxo
