The Easiest Cupcakes Ever!

Ok, I know Christmas is still officially a while a way yet, but I couldn't help myself ok ;) When doing a shop for my dinner in Sainsburys recently I saw this in the chilled cake section (yes I was looking at cheesecakes!) and saw this.

As you might know by now, I do like baking but somehow I've yet to acquire the skill to make those amazing cakes you see on Pinterest. So I need all the help I can get, so when I saw this intriguing packaging that says it's ready made I knew this was made for the bakers like me!

I followed the instructions which is to warm up the cake batter by placing the packet in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes.

Once you feel the batter is quite squidgy inside, take the packet out of the water and dry with a towel. Now you can pour the cake batter into your cupcake cases.

How flipping easy was that!

I baked my cakes for around 15 minutes in a fan assisted oven and I was pleasantly pleased how well they came out.

Once slightly cooled I piped Betty Crocker chocolate icing onto the cupcakes (I'm making this easy for you, my icing would be not worth my time!) and I decorated with some Christmas cake toppers from Lakeland.

There is a vanilla cup cake batter as well, so after the success of these cakes (I took them into work and my colleagues loved them!) I think I will give that a go.
Any ideas on decoration please let me know. I'm thinking unicorn colours? Let me know!

I'd definitely recommend you give this a go if you're a Can't Cook, Won't Cook person like me!

Love and hugs,
