My homeware loves

I was thinking what to do for a blog post this week and the thought stuck me to do a little home ware tour. I love home ware with a capital L and do spend half my wages collating various items to fill the flat.
I'm a creature who loves her comforts so I do like to play home maker and make my home look cosy and pretty.

I've taken photo's of my fav things from around my flat and I'll talk you through all my beloved possessions...

My dressing table

This was recently purchased from a local British Heart Foundation furniture store. I happen to be browsing their furniture and I spied this in the corner. I've been after a dressing table for a number of years but have refrained from purchasing one as they aren't the cheapest item of furniture.
But this beauty was a mere £30. Not bad for a real wood unit. It also came with the mirror and the chair is actually an Ikea dining chair, but I though it matched perfectly.

It's also functional as well as it has 8 draws, ideal for all my makeup! I also loved adding my own decorative items to it to dress it. As you'll see below.

Dressing Table Accessories

This is a mirrored tray which I think I found in Homesense (but that's a guess, I can't remember!). Inside it I have placed my Zoella Lifestyle pot which holds my every day make up brushes. Next to that is a faux flower in a silver pot which is from Homesense. Also my True Grace fragrance from Philosophy and a mirrored trinket pot (so old can't remember where it's from!).
I love this little collection as I think it looks elegant and feminine.

Wicker and Wire Frame Mannequins

I have these two dress stands mostly for decorative purposes but I also like to use the wicker one for when I sell items on DePop or Gum Tree. I have wrapped some bulb fairy lights from Tiger around the wire frame stand.
I got the wicker stand from a local hospice furniture store (charity shops are great for bargains!) and the wire one was a gift from my sister.
I imagine a more country/shabby chic bedroom this would look perfect it, but until then they are in my more new build bedroom.

Bookcase

This bookcase was from a work colleague. She didn't need it any more and offered it to me. Seeing as I like to collect my contemporary female romance fiction books I thought this would be ideal for them.

I also have added some decorative pieces too. Such as my light box, owl ornament, Instax camera and a framed quote. I love buying postcards and greeting cards that have cool photo's or quotes on them and putting them into frames. A quick and easy way to add decoration to your home.

Bedside table

This bedside table was another item I acquired many years ago. I think it was given to me as a hand me down (the only item of furniture brought new in my bedroom is my Ikea bed). It's been with me as I have lived in various different places over the years and has done me well.

I have a framed photo booth photo of Dan and myself next to my bed, along with my eye mask from Typo and my pink lower lights running along my bed from Primark.

Desk Accessories

I have an Ikea desk in the front room. This was previously used as my dressing table but now I have my new dressing table I can use it for it's intended purpose.

I have added some decorative items to add  a personal touch to it. Here I have a vase which I have used as a pen pot from Home Sense. Next to that is a frame from Paperchase which a post card inside. I also have used the Zoella Lifestyle travel mug as a pen pot. And lastly my label printer in front.

Desk Quote

In the middle of the back of my desk is my trio draw set from the Card Factory. On top is a frame from Homesense and a quote from a pack of quotes also from Homesense.

I also found the is copper wire frame A initial from none other than Homesense

Table centre piece

I love having a centre piece on my dining table and this is a vase from Homesense and I brought a bouquet of faux flowers also from Homesense.
I also found this hessian roll of material with gold glitter dots from Staples and thought it would make a great table runner.

And there you have my fav homeware items. I hope you like them :) Thanks for reading and please do leave a comment below to let me know which one you love the most.

Love and hugs,
