What I got for my birthday

So for the 33rd time in my life I celebrated my birthday. The upside is I still look about 12 ears old, so I can't really complain as I'm getting older in years.

This year I had my eye on a couple items for my birthday wish list and I am delighted that I did get gifted with said items. You'll see there's a bit of a theme here čśť

I was given three pairs of Converse trainers! The story behind having three pairs is that I originally asked for the suede pastel pair from Office, but as my husband couldn't get hold of them he brought me the canvas and leather pairs instead (he got £10 off from Schuh for buying two pairs) and at almost the same time my dad and sister had ordered me the suede pair.
So I ended up with three pairs! Not that I'm complaining as I love them all. Now I need is the opportunity to wear them (don't think I'll get away with wearing them at work!).

The other item I was lusting after was a handbag from Biba in House of Fraser. I previously brought a Biba handbag in the sale and as it is made from leather it has lasted me well. So when I saw the 'Rachel' bag I fell in love.
It's the perfect size to fit my iPad mini in (any handbag I use has to fit this in!). It has two zip compartments which is handy.
What I also like is that there is an embossed pattern on one side and a gold colour logo on the other, so I can wear it either way around.

I was also lucky enough to receive a bangle from Oliver Bonas. It is gold plated I believe with a white and black pattern on one half. I have also ordered myself a chunkier gold bangle from Oliver Bonas to go with it. Who doesn't like a bit of bling?!

My sister also got me a note book which I love the design and will be great for my blog planning and also a Mary Berry book. I think she thought she was being funny buying me this as I don't cook. I bake the occasional cake but maybe she's trying to get me to be more domestic in the kitchen!
I love Mary anyway so I think it has tempted me to try one of the meals out as Mary isn't all about cakes. My mum still has a cookbook from the 70's which Mary did and there are lot's of very 70's recipes inside!

I also received some money from my mum so I'm saving that till I see something I really like to spend it on.

On top of all this, my wonderful husband also paid for myself, himself and my mum and sister to stay in Bournemouth in a lovely hotel for the night. We had lot's of fun eating out, shopping, going to the beach and the oceanarium.

All in all and very lovely birthday was had. Thank you to all those who wished me a happy birthday. I hope I replied to you!

Thanks for reading and here's to me still trying to 'adult' and some how blagging my way through it!

Love and hugs,
